Is it unreasonable to want to just forget about someone, even though the universe seems bound and determined to continuously remind you of their existence?

[Especially when this world apparently saw fit to give you a picture of someone you've been trying to just move on from. A picture that would probably be better left destroyed, yet...hasn't been.]

It is not unreasonable, but that does not mean it is right, either.

I mean that it would make sense for a person to wish they could forget another. But that does not mean that we should forget things, willfully or not.

...perhaps I don't want to forget them entirely. I realize it's impossible to wish for that much.

But it isn't something I want to be constantly reminded of, either.

Is this something you can intentionally separate yourself from?

I've been trying to. That's part of where my frustration is stemming from.
